A trip to Nizwa

This time, the trip to Nizwa was more special. I have been to Nizwa several times, but the first time with my family. But with sleeping overnight for the first time.

I was tired and excited to hear the news that we would leave for Nizwa the next day. We returned from Hujrat al Sheikh, started preparations for Nizwa. We packed our bags and left a few things for the next day.

I booked a room at the Antique Inn Hotel in the center of Nizwa. I fell asleep happy and excited.

My dear readers, I will tell you starting with the weekend day, spent with my family, after breakfast we set off.

On the way to Nizwa we saw indescribable views, high and rocky mountains, valleys with shrubs, farms with old traditional houses and large and small settlements.

Nizwa, is the historical heart of the country, about 1.5 hours drive south of Muscat. It is bordered by the impressive Hajar Mountains to the west to the north and the endless Omani desert to the south.

Maria fell asleep on the way to Nizwa, although I was sleepy, despite the coffee I drank in the morning I tried to fall asleep. What disturbed my sleep was the argument we had on the way.

The road was long, but at the same time pleasant, no argument was going to destroy the happiness I felt. At the entrance to Nizwa, we got lost, but we found our way quickly. Before we stayed, we had lunch. I was hungry, I found a Yemeni restaurant, with traditional Arabic specialties. Where the food was delicious.

Antique Inn Hotel is located a 2-minute walk from Nizwa Fort and the old market, which offers the opportunity to explore the culture of the place. When we entered the hotel, we saw a peaceful garden, a spacious terrace and an outdoor pool.

At the entrance to the hotel there was an old fountain almost 300 years old. From the reception we learned that this one is the same age. We were amazed by this figure, the hotel being very spacious, comfortable, mysterious, emanating a positive energy. Everything was traditional, with a very nice balance of charm and amenities.

The Omani building was beautiful, in an old style, with traditional style rooms, with a beautiful terrace from where you could see the city from the window. The pool was very inviting, as was the roof and the restaurant. Finally we arrived in our comfortable room, in an old traditional Omani style, with a clean bathroom, where we had all the amenities.

We rested a little with the whole family, and went outside to the pool. My husband and daughter swam in the clean pool surrounded by the old buildings that looked down on us.

After that, we went upstairs to get ready to go out into the city for a walk, and we enjoyed the surrounding view. It was a sunny day, and there was a very pleasant wind blowing. We set off towards the old market in the center of Nizwa.

The city of Nizwa, famous for its handicrafts and agricultural products, has a large market with a wide range of products. It is one of the most important in the country, next to Muttrah. The market was crowded with different vendors, who sold: from meat, fish, fruits and vegetables to spices, dates, gold and silverware. Nizwa is famous for its silver jewelry, which is considered the best in the country. Its inhabitants are masters of making khanjars (curved daggers), known for their distinctive style and patterns. They also make copperware, coffee pots, swords, leather goods, and ceramics.

After strolling through the old market of Nizwa and buying a few things, we set off to explore the old streets of Nizwa village.

Another location that I discovered with my family was the Al Aqur Wall, which is the pride of the city of Nizwa. While we were walking through the narrow streets of the village of Aqur, we also had a snack so as not to charge with energy and strength to explore more of the area. The breeze outside did not please and did not encourage us to stay outside and not enjoy the view that does not surround us.

After the coffee that we had in a cafe in the village of Al Aqur, it gave us energy to visit the Al Aqur Wall.

We learned the history of this wall, the residents of Nizwa who have units of effort to restore the old wall around the Al Shahba Fort, it has become not only a symbol of the pride of the wilayat of Nizwa, but also a model that inspired future generations to preserve the rich legacy of the governor of Al Dakhiliyah.

The restored wall was inaugurated on January 8 in the village of Al Aqur. Al Aqur Wall and Aqur Square are approximately 1,950 meters long, of which approximately 700 meters were restored at a cost of 4,000 riyals. The wall stretches over date orchards, old adobe houses and offers a view of the city of Al Shahba. The wall is decorated with beautiful lighting and a geometric design that matches the neighborhood and the design of the castle. The wall includes 6 towers, the tallest of which is 13 meters.

Al Aqur Wall has cafes, restaurants selling traditional food, a photo booth for taking photos, souvenirs in traditional Omani costumes, as well as a large market for walking and organizing events.

The revival of ancient houses abandoned decades ago has today become a tourist destination on the international map. Al Aqur Historical Village contains 18 rooms 7 years ago, in the meantime it has grown to 200 rooms. The number is growing, with many quality facilities. There are over 15 cafes, two museums, a public library and two mosques, a center for the introduction of Islam, a Quranic school and a clinic, considering that the first hospital in Nizwa was in the Al Aqur quarter.

In ancient times, the wall protected the people from invaders and thieves. In the past, the old neighborhoods were mostly surrounded by walls. However, its walls differ according to their importance. Some of its walls are the walls of houses, and this neighborhood was the command center of Oman. 

The Imam or Sultan was present in this neighborhood. Governors, officials, judges, advisors and scholars were also there. Therefore, its fortification was very important.

In the evening after walking around Al Aqur with our family and enjoying the view around us, we decided to go to the hotel not to ask, to feed Maria and not to rest a little. We looked for a supermarket nearby so as not to stock up for the next day.

We bought something, had dinner at a restaurant and returned to the room. Maria was tired and fell asleep immediately. We got ready for sleep, we were tired and happy with our experience that we had in the city of Nizwa.

I will never forget this beautiful experience that we had in the village of Al Aqur and in Nizwa. We fell asleep, because the hotel exudes a positive, interesting and mystical energy at the same time.

The next day, Sunday morning, Maria was the one who woke us up for a new adventure at the Museum through the ages. We packed up our personal belongings, left our room tidy. We loaded our things into the car and set off for the Museum of the Ages with our family.

Located in Nizwa, one of the oldest cities in Oman, it took us about 20 minutes to get to the Museum. The museum is inspired by the extraordinary landscape and geometric profiles of the Al Hajar Mountains and its canyons. The Oman Museum of the Ages is a celebration of the rich history, culture and economic growth of the countries over time, while also providing a compelling perspective on the future of Oman. The museum is a cultural and educational landmark for both citizens and visitors. The immense scale of the building, as it rises from the desert floor and stretches to the horizon, is something to admire.

We entered the beautiful and tall museum with our family, paid the 2 riyals entrance fee and set off to explore. The museum transports visitors through the nation’s 800 million-year history through a series of immersive, high-tech experiences. The building emerges from the landscape as a series of geometric, angular forms that dialogue with the backdrop of the peaks and ridges of the Al Hajar mountain range. In harmony with the architecture, the exhibition design celebrates Oman’s rich heritage, dating from prehistory to the present day, through the latest intensive technologies.

The immense scale of the building is, it includes galleries, a knowledge center about impression about the library, an auditorium, a workplace, accommodation and studios for resident artists, conservation workshops, a café and social and research spaces.

We were on a vast and extensive journey through the centuries and millennia, following Oman from its earliest inhabitants in prehistory to the present day, through a succession of eras, dynasties and civilizations. Of particular importance is the modern rebirth of the nation in the 1970s, when Oman experienced a remarkable period of economic, technological, political and social modernization.

We finished this mini-tour of the museum, at the museum's pastry shop, we had a delicious breakfast. We left the museum delighted with the trip we had, back to Nizwa. We went to the Mall to entertain Maria, there we had lunch, and ate a delicious local ice cream.

We returned home relaxed, delighted with the trip we had. We enjoyed the weather outside and the view that surrounded us. It was a trip that I will never forget.

O călătorie în Nizwa

De această dată,  călătoria la Nizwa a fost mai specială. Am fost de mai multe ori la Nizwa, dar prima dată cu familia. Dar cu adormitul peste noapte pentru prima dată.

Eram obosită și entuziasmată de aflarea veștii că vom pleca la Nizwa a doua zi.  Am revenit de la Hujrat al Sheikh, am început pregătirile pentru Nizwa.  Ne-am făcut valizele noastre și am lasăt câteva lucruri pentru a doua zi.

Am rezervat o cameră de Hotelul Antique Inn din centrul orașului Nizwa. Am adormit fericită și entuziasmată.

Dragii mei cititori, vă voi povesti începând cu ziua  de weekend,  petrecută în  familia,după micul dejun ne-am pornit la drum.

În drum spre Nizwa am văzut priveliște de nedescris, munți înalți și stâncoși, văi cu arbuști, ferme cu case vechi tradiționale și localități mari și mici.

Nizwa, este inima istorică a țării, la aproximativ 1,5 ore de mers cu mașina la sud de Muscat. Este mărginită de impresionanții Munți Hajar din vest la nord și de nesfârșitul deșert omanez la sud.

Maria a adormit în drum spre Nizwa,deși îmi era somn, în ciuda cafelei pe care am băut-o dimineață am încercat să adorm. Ceea ce a perturbat somnul meu, a fost cearta pe care am avut-o pe drum.

Drumul era lung, dar în același timp plăcut, nici-o ceartă nu a avea să distrugă fericirea pe care o simțeam. La intrarea în Nizwa, ne-am ratăcit, dar am găsit drumul repede. Înainte să ne cază, am luat  prânzul. Îmi era foame,  am găsit un restaurant Yemenez, cu specific tradițional arăbesc. Unde mâncarea era delicioasă.

Hotelul Antique Inn, se află la 2 minute de mers pe jos  de Fortul Nizwa și piața veche, ce oferă posibilitatea de a explora cultura locului. Când am intrat pe teritoriul hotelului, am văzut o grădină liniștită, o terasă spațioasă și o piscină în aer liber.

La intrarea în hotel se afla o fântână veche aproape de 300 de ani.  De la recepție am aflat că acest are aceeași vârstă.  Ne-a uimit această cifră, hotelul fiind foarte spațios, confortabilă, misterios, emanând o energie pozitivă. Totul era tradițional, cu un echilibru foarte frumos prin farmec și facilități.

Clădire omaneză  era frumoasă, în stil vechi, cu camere în stil tradițional, cu o teresă frumoasă de unde puteai vedeai orașul de la fereastră. Piscina era foarte îmbietoare, ca și acoperișul și localul. În sfârșit am ajuns în camera noastră confortabilă, în stil vechi tradițional omanez, cu o baie curată, unde aveam toate facilitățile.

Ne-am odihnit puțin cu toată familia, și am ieșit afară la piscină. Soțul și fiica mea s-au scăldat în piscina curată încojurată de clădirile vechi ce ne priveau de sus.

După aceea, ne-am urcat sus să ne pregătim să ieșim în oraș pentru a ne plimba, și ne-a bucura de priveliștea din jur.  Era o zi însorită, și bătea vânt tare placut. Ne-am pornit către piața veche din centrul orașului Nizwa.

Orașul Nizwa, este renumit pentru artizanat și produsele agricole, are o piață vastă cu o gamă largă de produse. Este unul dintre cele mai importante din țară, pe lângă Muttrah. Piața era aglomerată cu vânzători diferiți, care vindeau: de la carne, pește, fructe și legume până la condimente, curmale, aur și argintărie. Nizwa este renumită pentru bijuteriile sale de argint, care sunt considerate cele mai bune din țară. Locuitorii săi sunt maeștri în confecționarea khanjar-elor(pumnale curbate), recunoscuți pentru stilul și modelele lor distinctive. De asemenea, se fabrică obiecte din cupru, cafetiere, săbii, articole din piele și ceramică.

După ce ne-am plimbat prin piața veche din Nizwa și am cumpărat câte ceva, ne-am pornit să explorăm străduțele vechi satului Nizwa.

O altă locație pe care am descoperit-o împreună cu familia a fost Zidul  Al Aqur, care este mândria orașului Nizwa. În timp ce ne plimbam pe străduțele înguste ale satului Aqur, am luat și o gustare pentru a ne încărca cu energie și forță pentru a explora mai mult zona. Briza de afara ne bucura și ne îndemna să mai să stăm afară să ne bucurăm de priveliștea care ne încojoară.

După cafeau pe care am svorat-o în una din cafenele din satul Al Aqur, ne-a dat energie să vizităm  Zidul  Al Aqur.

Am aflat istoria acestui zid, locuitorii din Nizwa care au unit eforturile pentru a restaura vechiul zid din jurul Fortului Al Shahba, acesta a devenit nu doar simbolul mândrei wilayat-ului din Nizwa, ci și un model care a inspirat generațiile viitoare să pătreze bogata moștenire a guvernatorului Al Dakhiliyah.

Zidul restaurat a fost inaugurat pe 8 ianuarie în satul Al Aqur. Zidul Al Aqur și Piața Aqur au aproximativ 1.950 de metri lungime, dintre care aproximativ 700 de metri au fost restaurații,cu un cost de 4000 de riali. Zidul se întinde peste livezi de curmali, case vechi din chirpici și oferă o priveliște asupra orașului Al Shahba. Zidul este decorat cu o iluminare frumoasă și un design geometric care se potrivește cu cartierul și design castelului. Zidul include 6 turnuri , dintre care cel ami înalt are 13 metri.

Zidul Al Aqur are cafenele, restaurante care vând mâncare tradițională, o cabină foto pentru a face fotografii, suvenir în costume tradiționale omaneze, precum și o piață mare pentru plimbări și organizarea de evenimentelor.

Renașterea caselor antice abandonate cu zeci de ani în urmă a devenit astăzi o destinație turistică pe harta internațională. Satul istoric Al Aqur conținea 18 camere acum 7 ani, între timp  a ajuns până la 200 de camere. Numărul este în creștere, cu multe facilități de calitate. Există peste 15 cafenele, două muzee, o bibliotecă publică și două mosqee, un centru pentru introducerea Islamului, o școală coranică și o clinică, având în vedere că primul spital din Nizwa a fost în carterul Al Aqur.

În vremurile străvechi, zidul proteja oamenii de invadatori și hoți. În trecut, cartierele vechi erau în mare parte  împrejmuite cu ziduri. Însă zidurile sale diferă în funcție de importanța lor. O parte din zidurile sale sunt zidurile caselor, iar acest cartier era centrul de comandă din Oman. Imamul sau sultanul era prezent în acest cartier. Guvernatori, oficiali, judecători, consilieri și savanți erau, de asemenea, acolo. Prin urmare, fortificația sa era foarte importantă.

Seara după ce ne-am plimbat prin Al Aqur cu familia și ne-am bucurat de priveliștea din jurul nostru, am hotărât să plecăm pâna la hotel să ne rugăm, să o hrănim pe Maria și să ne odihnim puțin. Am căutat  un supermarket prin apropiere ca să ne aprovizionăm pentru a doua zi.

Am cumpărat câte ceva, am luat cina de la un restaurant și ne-am întors în cameră.  Maria era obosită și a dormit imediat. Ne-am pregătit de somn, eram obosiți și fericiți de experiența noastră pe care am avut-o în orașul Nizwa.

Nu voi uita niciodată această experiență frumoasă pe care am avut-o în satul Al Aqur și în Nizwa. Am adormit,  pentru că hotelul emana o energie pozitivă, interesantă și mistică în același timp.

A doua zi de duminica, dimineața, Maria a fost acea care ne-a trezit pentru o nouă aventură la Muzeu de-a lungul epocii. Ne-am strâns lucrurile pesonale, am lăsat curat în camera noastră. Am pus lucrurile în mașină și am pornit  drum către Muzeu de-a lungul epocii, împreună cu familia.

 Situat în Nizwa, unul dintre cele mai vechi orașe din Oman, am făcut până la Muzeu aproximativ 20 minute.  Muzeul este inspirat de peisajul extraordinar și profilurile geometrice ale Munților Al Hajar și ale canioanelor sale.  

Muzeul Omanului de-a lungul epocilor este o celebru a bogăției istoriei, culturii și a creșterii economice a țării de-a lungul timpului, oferind în același timp o perspectivă convingătoare asupra viitorului Omanului. Muzeul este un reper cultural și educațional atât pentru cetățeni, cât și pentru vizitatori. Scara imensă a clădirii, așa cum se ridică de la podeaua deșertului și se întinde până la orizont, este ceva de admirat.

Am intrat în muzeul frumos și înalt cu familia, am plătit intrarea 2 riali și ne-am pornit să-l vizităm. Muzeul transportă vizitatorii prin istoria de 800 de milioane de ani a națiunii printr-o serie de experiențe imersive, de înaltă tehnologie. 

Clădirea se desprinde de peisaj ca o serie de forme geometrice, unghiulare, care dialoghează cu fundalul vârfurilor și crestelor lanțului muntos Al Hajar. În armonie cu arhitectura, designul expoziției celebrează bogata moștenire a Omanului, datând din preistorie până în zilele noastre, prin intermediul celor mai noi tehnologii intensive.

Scara imensă a clădirii este impresionată, această include galerii, un centru de cunoștințe despre bibliotecă, un auditoriu, un loc de muncă, cazare și studiouri pentru artiști rezidenți, ateliere de conservare, cafenele și spații sociale și de cercetare.

Noi am fost într-o călătorie vastă și amplă de-a lungul secolelor și a meliniilor, care urmărește Omanul de la primii locuitori ai preistoriei până în prezent, traversând soccesiune de epoci, dinastii și civilizații. O importanță deosebită este abordată renașterii moderne a națiunii începând cu anii 1970, în timp în care Omanul a cunoscut o perioadă remarcabilă de modernizare economică, tehnologică, politică și socială.

Am terminat această mini excursie prin muzeu, la cofetăria din muzeu, am luat micul dejun delicios.  Am plecat de la muzeu încântați de excursia pe care am avut-o,  înapoi spre Nizwa. Ne-am dus la Mall ca să p distrăm pe Maria, acolo am luat prânzul, și am mâncat o înghețată locală delicioasă.

Ne-am întors acasă relaxați, încântați de excursia pe care am avut-o. Ne-am bucurat de vremea de afară și  de priveliștea care ne încojoară. A fost o excursie pe care nu o voi uita niciodată.

A trip to Hujrat al Sheikh.

Last week, I had a very interesting and beautiful mini trip to a very special place. I will never forget those two weekends, I was filled with positive energy and very pleasant memories. It has been a long time since I have seen beautiful places that Oman has, but we are slowly discovering new places and beautiful people in the soul and mind.

My dear readers, I will tell you about our trip starting with Friday. Being a weekend day, at home with my loved ones, we had a delicious lunch. My husband told us that he had a surprise for us, we got ready for the road. I was extremely happy that we would finally leave the house.

I was curious where we were going, and he answered that we were going to Hujurat al Shaykh, the location is after Barka, 84 km from Muscat. On the Hujurat al Sheikh heritage alley I am in this location for the first time, my husband said that it has opened.
 

The excitement and curiosity of seeing new places and spending time with my family made me forget about sleeping for a while. My daughter fell asleep immediately, she was tired.

I arrived in Wadi al Maawil at around 4pm, the entrance to Hujrat al Sheikh had old and traditional and abandoned houses, which made me curious to explore this location.

I learned from those working there that it officially opened on November 12, 2024 in the Wilayat of Wadi al Maawil, it is a traditional stone-paved tourist trail in the Wadi al Maawil region of Oman, connecting the Hujrat al Sheikh neighborhood, Al Safalah Castle and Bait al Ghasham Museum.

Stretching over 1.5 kilometers, this scenic trail is set to become a must-see for locals and tourists alike. As we strolled along the alleyway of Hajrat al Shaikh, we connected with nature and learned about its history, visiting three important historical sites: Hajrat al Shaikh, Al Safala Fort, and Bayt Al-Ghasham Museum. As we strolled along the route, we passed by some charming farms and picturesque villages, getting lost in the rich cultural tapestry of the region.

The location offered facilities and services for visitors. It was opened especially for visitors, the alley includes several cafes and rest areas, providing essential services for those exploring the route. We noticed informative signs that guided us to various location landmarks, which define the names of the carts, historical fortresses, rare trees and traditional aflaj and irrigation systems.

We stopped at a cafe on the alley, had a coffee and a very tasty cake. After that we set off further to explore the area, we noticed a zoo with exotic birds, large and small sizes. We saw small and large parrots, of different kinds, ostriches, crows, tits, eagles and others. The Zoo was pleasantly maintained where you can sit and rest with your family.

Set in the heart of lush green oases, the Hajrat al Shaikh walkway offers a serene environment that encourages relaxation and recreation. This unique destination is for health and well-being, ideal for sports activities from morning until evening. With its breathtaking surroundings, visitors of all ages are invited to stroll while enjoying the beauty of nature.

The Hajrat al Shaikh walkway is designed to reflect the local heritage, using stone materials that blend in with the surrounding environment. Amenities such as cafes, rest areas and kiosks have been designed to meet the needs of visitors, with plans to add exercise stations for an enhanced experience.

The walkway is set to become a hub for various activities, including walking events, with the Wadi al Maawal Adventure Team. With several sports activities planned, Hajrat al Shaikh Alley is not just an alley, it is also a vibrant community space that promotes a healthy lifestyle.

The alley enhances tourism by better utilizing the historical and natural sites of the area. Visitors will enjoy the charm of Hajrat al Shaikh. This wilayat is a harmonious combination of ancient castles, forts and historical towers that preserve a rich history and culture of the country. Walking through the alleys of its ancient quarters, visitors are transported back in time, where there are imposing structures, ancient mosques, Quranic schools that once housed revered scholars of jurisprudence and religion.

While walking along the alley full of people, we also entered the Al- Safala Fortress which is an emblem of the Wilayat and the heritage housed in the Al-Ghasham Museum. Each stop along the walkway offers a view of the wealth, history and cultural heritage of the region.

These castles, towers and mosques are evidently set within ancient streets and enclosed by sturdy circular walls. Made of stone and clay, these historical monuments testify to the remarkable architectural skills of their creators.

Over time, some of these historical treasures have fallen into disrepair. However, the essence of their grandeur remains untouched, leaving visitors captivated by their charm and elegance. Wadi al Maawil is not only a repository of historical landmarks, but also boasts a rich tapestry of traditional industries. The skilled craftsmen here continue to create daggers, jewelry, ceramics and palm leaves, maintaining ancient traditions in their daily lives.

It was dusk outside. We were tired and hungry. We stopped at a cafe for a coffee and a snack to keep us energized. The place was crowded.

When we left Hajrat, it was already night, we were getting ready to go home. We discovered a beautiful and interesting location. I want to come back again and recharge with positive energy where we can relax with my family.

On the way home, my husband told me that the next day we were going to Nizwa for the night. I was very happy. I wanted to visit these beautiful places again.

O călătorie la Hujrat al Sheikh.

Săptămâna trecută, am avut o mini excursie  foarte interesantă și frumoasă într-un loc foarte special. Cele două wekeenduri nu le voi uita niciodată, m-am încărcat cu energie pozitivă și cu amintiri foarte plăcute. Demult nu am văzut locuri frumoase pe care le are Omanul, dar încet descoperim noi locuri și oameni frumoși la suflet și la minte.

Dragii mei cititori, despre călătoria noastră vă voi povesti începând cu ziua de vineri.  Fiind zi de weekend, acasă cu cei dragi, am avut un prânz delicios. Soțul ne-a spus că are o surpriză pentru noi, ne-am pregătit de drum. M-am bucurat enorm, că vom ieși în sfârsit din casă.

Eram curioasă unde vom pleca, și mi-a răspuns că plecăm, în Hujurat al Shaykh, locația se află  după Barka, 84 km  de Muscat. Pe aleea patrimoniului Hujurat al Sheikh sunt pentru prima dată în această locație, soțul spunând  că s-a deschis.

Entuziasmul și curiozitatea de-a vedea locuri noi și de a petrecere timpul cu familia, m-a făcut să uit pentru un timp de somn. Fiica mea a adomit imediat, era obosită.

Am ajuns în Wadi al Maawil pe la ora 16, intrarea în Hujrat al Sheikh având  case vechi și tradiționale și părăsite, care m-a făcut curioasă de explora această locație.

Am aflat de la cei care lucrau acolo că s-a deschis oficial pe 12 noiembrie 2024 în Wilayat of Wadi al Maawil, este o potecă turistică tradițională pavată cu piatră în regiunea Wadi al Maawil din Oman, care leagă cartierul Hujrat al Sheikh, Castelul Al Safalah și Muzeul Bait al Ghasham.

Întinzându-se pe o lungime de 1,5 kilometri, această potecă pitorească este menită să devină o atracție obligatorie atât pentru localnici, cât și pentru turiști. În timp ce ne plimbam pe aleea din pe Hajrat al Shaikh, ne-am conectat cu natura și  am aflat istoria  lui, vizitând cele trei situri istorice importante : Hajrat al Shaikh, Fortul Al Safala și Muzeul Bayt Al-Ghasham. În timp ce ne plimbam pe traseu, am trecut pe lângă niște ferme fermecătoare și sate pitorești, confundându-ne în bogata tapiserie culturală a regiunii.

Locația oferea facilități și servicii pentru vizitatori. A fost deschisă special pentru vizitatori, aleea include mai multe cafenele și zone de odihnă, oferind servicii esențiale pentru cei care explorează traseul. Am observat  indicatoare informative care ne ghidau către diverse repere de localizare, care definește numele carterilor, fortărețe istorice, copaci rari și aflaj tradiționale și sisteme de irigare.

Ne-am oprit la o cafenea de pe alee, am băut o cafea și cu o prăjitură foarte gustoasă. După aceea ne-am pornit mai departe pentru a explora zona, am remarcat  o gradina zoologică cu păsări exotice, mărimi mari sau mici.  Am văzut papagali mici și mari, de diferite feluri, struți, ciori, pițigoi, vulturi și altele. Grădina Zoologică era menajată în mod plăcut unde poți să stai  și să te odihnești împreună cu familia.

Amplasată în inima unor oaze verzi luxuriante, pasarela Hajrat al Shaikh oferă un mediu senin, care încurajează relaxează și recreeză. Aaceastă destinație unică  este pentru  sănătate și bunăstare, fiind ideală pentru activități sportive de dimineață și până  seară. Cu împrejurimile sale uluitoare, vizitatorii de toate vârstele sunt invitați să  se plimbe în timp ce se bucură de frumusețea naturii.

Aleea Hajrat al Shaikh este proiectată pentru a reflecta moștenirea locală, utilizând materiale din piatră care se armonizează cu mediul înconjurător. Au fost amenajate facilități precum cafenele, zone de odihnă și chioșcuri pentru a satisfice nevoile vizitatorilor, existând planuri de a adauga stații de exerciții pentru a experiență îmbunătățită.

Aleea este pregătită să devină un centru pentru diverse activități, inclusiv evenimente de mers pe jos, cu Echipa de Aventură Wadi al Maawal. Cu mai multe activități sportive planificate, Aleea Hajrat al Shaikh nu este doar o alee,  este și un spațiu comunitar vibrant care promovează un stil de viață sănătos.

Aleea îmbunătățește turismul printr-o mai bună utilizare a siturilor istorice și naturale ale zonei. Vizitatorii vor bucura farmecul lui Hajrat al Shaikh. Această wilayat este o combinație armonioasă de castele antice, forturi și turnuri istorice care păstrează o bogată istorie și cultură a țării. Ne-am plimbat prin aleele din carterile sale antice, vizitatorii sunt transportați înapoi la timp, unde  sunt structuri impunătoare, moschei antice, școli coranice  care au găzduit odinioară venerați savanți în jurisprudență și religie.

În timp ce ne-am plimbat pe aleea plină de oameni, am intrat și  în Fortăreața Al- Safala   care este o emblemă a Wilayat-ului și patrimoniul adăpostit în Muzeul Al-Ghasham. Fiecare oprire de-a lungul pasarelei oferă o priveliște asupra bogăției, istoriei și a patrimoniului cultural al regiunii.

Evident aceste castele, turnuri și moschee sunt amplasate  în interiorul străzilor vechi și îngrădite  cu ziduri circulare robuste. Din  pietră și lut, aceste monumente istorice mărturisesc abilitățile arhitecturale remarcabile  ale creatorilor lor.

De-a lungul timpului, unele dintre aceste comori istorice sunt în paragină. Cu toate acestea, esența grandorii lor rămâne neatinsă, lăsând vizitatorii captivați de farmecul și eleganța lor. Wadi al Maawil nu este doar un depozit de repere istorice, ci se mândrește și cu o bogată tapiserie de industrii tradiționale. Meșterii pricepuți de aici continuă să creeze pumnale, bijuterii, ceramică și frunze de palmier, menținând tradiții străvechi în viața lor de zi cu zi.

Afară s-a înserat. Eram obosiți și flămânzi. Ne-am oprit la o cafenea să bem o cafea și și să luăm o gustare ca să avem energie. Locul era aglomerat.

 La ieșirea  din Hajrat s-a înnoptat dea binelea, ne pregăteam  să plecăm acasă. Am descoperit o locație frumoasă și interesantă. Mai vreau să mai revin încă odată și să mă încarc cu energie pozitivă unde să ne relaxăm împreună cu familia.

În drum spre casă soțul m-a anunțat că a doua zi  ducem  la Nizwa peste noapte. M-am bucurat enorm. Vroiam să mai vizitez aceste locuri frumoase.
